Celebrite with Us World Environment Day

On Wednesday 03.06.2015. from 10:00 – 12:00 come to Trg slobode (Liberty square) and celebrite with us World Environment Day. The emphasis of this year’s celebration is placed on encouraging environmental awareness from an early age, and we included a large number of kindergartens from Osijek. Preschool children will compete in eco puzzle games with the image of the corresponding containers for separate waste collection. Through this interesting game, children will learn what types of waste should be separately collected and disposed in the containe.The most sucessfull kids in the puzzle games will be awarded.

Marking this important international eco date is part of the IPA Cross-Border Programme Croatia – Serbia “The case for zero waste – creating preconditions for zero waste society and cross-border region” financed by the EU and the Office for Associations of the Croatian Government.

The project is implemented in partnership with Unikom d.d .Osijek, Association for nature and environment protection Green Osijek and Development Agency of Slavonia and Baranja from Croatian and JKP Komunalije, City of Sremska Mitrovica, the Ecological Club of Sremska Mitrovica and CEKOR from Serbia.

Project partners will join the scout club „Javor“ and associations Compost Center and Friends of the Environment.

Come to Liberty Square and support preschoolers from DV Kockica, Mak, Radost, Vedri dani, Bubamara, Pčelica, Sjenčica i Nevičica in games,competitions and learning.
