Youth in environment decision making

Project “Youth in environment decision making“ has for its goal educational effect on students of high schools and colleges in Osijek – Baranja County in oder to activate them to help with their involvement with environment problem solving.

Project is consisted of youth education, concerning environment and activism principles in Eco Centre Zlatna Greda, development of the campaign and enforcement of the final actions that will include both media and citizens. All of the projects activities will be documented on photo and video. Media documentation will be published on web page Green Osijek, and video material will be published on CD media and distributed in high schools and colleges. When campaigns end, all of the participants will be gathered (students, professors, pupils, media…) and results of the project will be presented.

In this project, we plan to include 50 young, from 5 colleges and high-schools from Osijek – Baranja County (250 in total). All of the participants will be educated, and come up with action to solve a problem in their community or alert public. As a long term goal we try to raise awareness, and ecological conscience in young population. We hope that in future they will act by the democratic principles and activism in their future work. We also expect that every solved action will motivate citizens to do something themselves and fight for solving the other environmental problems as well.
